SKIKK Thor 16 Ultra 9 RTX 5080

A workstation you simply take with you

The Thor 16 runs on an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus with 24 cores that boosts up to 5.5GHz. Alongside it sits an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB GDDR7, with a total TGP of 175W. What does that mean in practice? You render a Revit model, keep SolidWorks open and join a Teams call at the same time. It all runs simultaneously, without your laptop missing a beat. As a workstation laptop for engineering and design, it ranks among the fastest machines we build.

It comes standard with 32GB DDR5 at 5600MHz and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Working with heavy assemblies or large photo files? Then configure it with up to 128GB of RAM when you place your order.

Business-ready: secure and well connected

For companies looking for a laptop for CAD and 3D that also fits seamlessly into their IT environment, this is an excellent choice. TPM 2.0 via Intel PTT and Windows Hello with the IR camera take care of sign-in and encryption. The webcam has a privacy shutter, so you simply slide it closed after your client meeting. Choose Windows 11 Pro when ordering if you manage your devices centrally, or Linux such as Ubuntu or Fedora if that's what your team works with.

You won't be short on connectivity either. It drives up to four displays via HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 2.1a and USB-C with DisplayPort. At the office, plug it into a SKIKK USB-C docking station, and with 2.5 Gigabit ethernet you pull large project files from the NAS in no time. For photographers' camera cards, there's a full-size SD 7.0 card reader built in.

Mini-LED display for color-critical work

The 16 inch Mini-LED display has a resolution of 2560x1600, covers 100% DCI-P3 and 89% Adobe RGB, and reaches up to 1250 nits of brightness. Thanks to the matte coating, you won't struggle with reflections, even under bright office lighting or next to a window. The colors in your grading or product render look exactly as your client will see them. At 188 ppi, text and linework in CAD appear razor-sharp.

Video, AI and local LLMs

The RTX 5080 features 7680 CUDA cores and 16GB of video memory. That's plenty of headroom for Blender Cycles, DaVinci Resolve and Stable Diffusion, and you can run serious local LLMs without sending your data to the cloud. As a laptop for video editing, you'll notice the difference immediately: that 4K export for your client gets done during your break, not after hours. Storage is generous too. It has one PCIe 5.0 slot and one PCIe 4.0 slot, and you can choose up to 2x 8TB Samsung 9100 PRO.

Built to last

With other brands, you're often stuck with soldered memory. In the Thor 16, you can replace everything: two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots, two M.2 slots and a replaceable 99Wh battery. Your laptop grows along with your work. The chassis is made of aluminum, and for long renders you can add SKIKK Kyla water cooling. Need it to stay quiet in a meeting? Just switch to Whisper Mode. You get a 2-year warranty, with service from Kampen, the Netherlands.

Just as strong after hours

After work, it's also a great machine for gaming. The display runs at 300Hz, the GPU supports ray tracing and the keyboard features per-key RGB and N-key rollover. So after a long day of designing, you instantly have a fast gaming laptop.

Who is the Thor 16 for?

It's designed for architects, engineers, 3D artists, video editors and AI developers who want a mobile workstation that truly delivers. It's also a great fit for firms that want to equip their design team with laptops configured down to the very last component. In short: you get desktop-level computing power in a laptop you can take anywhere.
