How does it work?

Accidents can happen quickly and thanks to SKIKK Care you can easily insure your new SKIKK laptop or computer against the most common damages such as: falls, bumps, moisture and theft. All this for an attractive premium and our extensive conditions in the event of damage. The premium depends on the purchase price and you can choose between 3 different coverages for 3 years, Silver, Gold or Premium. The insurance only applies to new equipment. After we have received your details via the digital application form, you will receive your SKIKK Care policy by e-mail.

 

Damage?

That is annoying, if your laptop no longer functions properly during the term of the insurance, you can report the damage easily and quickly to Actua 24/7. You can do this by completing an online claim form on the Actua website. If your laptop or computer can no longer be repaired, Actua will deliver a new device via SKIKK (after deducting the deductible and any debit).

I already have a SKIKK Laptop or computer, can I still insure it?

The insurance must be taken out within 15 days of the invoice date and the equipment must of course be damage-free.

 

 

How much is it?

The premiums below are a one-time payment. After payment you are insured by SKIKK Care for 3 years.

 

 

Why insure your laptop or computer

Your laptop will be damaged if it falls or comes into direct contact with another object. The SKIKK Care insurance applies if, for example, the screen is broken or if another defect occurs due to a fall.

Water damage

Your laptop or computer comes into contact with a liquid, for example because a cup of coffee passes over your keyboard, and as a result your laptop only works to a limited extent or not at all. With laptop insurance you are assured that this will be resolved.

Short circuit

Damage due to excessive voltage or short circuit occurs, for example, if a lightning strike causes a brief increase in the voltage in the electricity grid and your laptop is temporarily connected to a socket for charging. The SKIKK Care insurance also reimburses this damage. See also the extensive terms and conditions and/or the information document.

Technical defects

Your SKIKK laptop or computer is insured against damage to an insured device after the standard manufacturer's warranty has expired, as a result of a construction, material or casting error, or due to a processing or assembly error made by the manufacturer of the insured device at SKIKK Care Premium.

Theft

Your laptop or computer is also insured in the event of theft with SKIKK Care Gold & Premium. Theft from schools and other public buildings or from motor vehicles is excluded. If the laptop is stolen from a home, it is only covered after burglary at that home. In the event of theft, it is important to report the theft to the local police within 48 hours and send the original copy of the report to Actua.

If there is room rental or if the home or building has multiple tenants or users, there must be traces of forced entry in the room used by the policyholder.

Extended warranty

Your laptop is insured against damage that occurs to an insured device with SKIKK Care Premium after the standard manufacturer's warranty has expired, as a result of a construction, material or casting error, or due to a processing or assembly error made by the manufacturer of the insured device.

12 months new value

The first 12 months 100% reimbursement for repair or replacement in the event of a total loss if your laptop can no longer be repaired. The insured amount of a device is calculated from the original purchase date of the insured device and is determined at the percentages of the original purchase amount stated below:

  • the first 12 months 100%
  • 2nd year 90% max. € 4,500
  • 3rd year 75% max. € 3,750
  • 4th year 65% max. € 3,250
  • 5th year 45% max. € 2,250

 

There is a limited deductible of 10% of the purchase amount with a minimum of €35 and a maximum of €50 per claim, regardless of the cause of the damage. See also the extensive terms and conditions and/or the information document.
