Powerful performance for work and a gaming session

The Saga 17 IV runs on an Intel Core i7-13620H with 10 cores and a turbo up to 4.9GHz. In practice, that means: Teams meeting open, 30 tabs in Chrome, Excel with a heavy pivot table and Spotify in the background — all at the same time, without the laptop starting to stutter. The 24MB cache ensures that frequently used data remains available at lightning speed, which you'll especially notice when switching between programs.

The NVIDIA RTX 3050 with 6GB VRAM and 75W total TGP (including Dynamic Boost) makes this laptop suitable for more than just office work. Fortnite, Valorant and CS2 run at high settings with plenty of framerates to spare. Heavier titles like Cyberpunk 2077 or Hogwarts Legacy play just fine on medium to high settings. For creative work in Photoshop, Lightroom or Premiere Pro, the GPU handles the heavy effects and renders, keeping your CPU free for the rest.

17.3 inch 144Hz screen with real workspace

The 17.3 inch Full HD IPS panel gives you the space to put two full documents side by side, with text that's still perfectly readable. The matte coating prevents annoying reflections from the window behind you or the fluorescent lights at the office. With 300 nits of brightness and a contrast ratio of 1200:1, you see everything sharply and with good black levels.

The 144Hz refresh rate is something you won't want to miss once you're used to it. In gaming you get smooth motion and less motion blur, but even during daily use, scrolling through long documents or web pages feels much smoother. With 95% sRGB and 74% DCI-P3 coverage, the screen is also usable for photo and video editing where colors matter.

16GB DDR5 with room to grow

By default it comes with 16GB DDR5 at 5600MHz, occupying one of the two SODIMM slots. More than enough for most users, and should you need more later, you can expand up to 64GB. That second slot is a nice detail — with many competitors the memory is soldered in place and you're stuck with what you chose at purchase.

For storage there's a 1TB NVMe SSD, with a second M.2 slot free for expansion. One of the slots supports PCIe Gen 4, which is handy if you later want to add a faster SSD for project files or a game library. Windows 11 Home is already installed with a license, so you can get started right away.

Ports and connectivity

The Saga 17 IV is well equipped in terms of ports. You get 2x USB-C (10Gb/s), USB 3.2, USB 2.0, a full-fledged HDMI 2.0 and even a Mini DisplayPort 1.4. In total you can connect up to 3 external displays — great for a multi-monitor setup on your desk. Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) is included too, for when you want a stable wired connection during important calls or online matches.

Wirelessly you have Wi-Fi 6E via the Intel AX211 chip and Bluetooth 5.4. The RGB-backlit chiclet keyboard with numeric keypad has 15 selectable colors and silent switches — nice when you're finishing up late at night next to someone who's sleeping. The 2MP webcam with array microphone does its job just fine for video calls.
