SKIKK Midgard 16 RTX 5050

20 cores and an RTX 5050 in one work laptop

The Midgard 16 RTX 5050 runs on an Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX with 20 cores, boosting up to 5.2GHz. Here's what that means in practice: Teams, Excel, your ERP software and Chrome with thirty tabs can all be open at once, and everything stays responsive. On top of that, you get an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 with a total TGP of 115W. The result is a business laptop with RTX that handles heavier workloads with ease.

As standard, you get 16GB DDR5 at 5600MHz and a 1TB NVMe SSD. That's enough to get started right away, and because SKIKK builds every system to order, you can tailor the configuration completely to the way you work.

Business use: secure, connected and ready for multiple displays

Whether at the office or at home, the Midgard 16 is a well-equipped workstation. Signing in is quick and secure with the IR+FHD webcam with Windows Hello, and TPM 2.0 via Intel PTT protects your data with encryption. Choose Windows 11 Pro when ordering and you also get BitLocker plus the management features IT departments love. A Kensington Lock slot comes standard.

The connectivity is a great fit for a professional workspace, too:

• 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet for fast, stable network connections
• 1x Thunderbolt, 1x USB-C (10Gb/s) and 3x USB 3.2 Gen2
• HDMI 2.1 (4K@120Hz) and Mini DisplayPort 2.1a
• Support for 4 displays, including via the SKIKK USB-C docking station
• Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, with an optional upgrade to Wi-Fi 7
• SD card reader and an array microphone for crystal-clear calls

Giving a client presentation on an external display while Teams and a VM keep running in the background? No problem at all. The numeric keypad is a real time-saver if you work a lot with numbers and spreadsheets.

16 inch QHD+ display for design, photo and video

The matte 16 inch 2560x1600 display delivers 500 nits of brightness, covers 100% sRGB and runs at 180Hz. Thanks to the 16:10 aspect ratio, you see more rows of your spreadsheet or timeline at a glance. The matte coating cuts out reflections from office lighting, and those 500 nits keep the image bright and clear even in well-lit rooms.

For CAD, 3D and video editing, the 2560 CUDA cores of the RTX 5050 make a real difference. Renders, GPU-accelerated exports in Premiere or DaVinci Resolve, and AI tools or small local LLMs run noticeably faster than on an office laptop without a dedicated graphics card. That 4K video for your client gets exported during your break, not after hours.

Upgradeable and built to last

Where other brands often lock you into soldered memory, the Midgard 16 features two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 128GB and two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots. You can choose 32, 64 or more GB of RAM and a Samsung 9100 PRO up to 8TB right when you order, or expand later. The chassis is made of aluminium, the 99Wh battery is replaceable, and you can charge with the 250W adapter or via USB-C (140W+). You get a 2-year warranty, with service from Kampen, the Netherlands.

Great for gaming, too

After hours, the RTX 5050 with ray tracing and DLSS runs modern games smoothly on the 180Hz display. The keyboard features per-key RGB lighting with N-key rollover, and sound comes from a 2.1 system with Nahimic Audio. In Whisper Mode, the laptop stays quiet at around 32 dB under light load.

Who is the Midgard 16 RTX 5050 for?

This laptop is a great match for freelancers and SMB teams looking to buy a workstation laptop for CAD, design or video editing, and for professionals who work with multiple displays at home and at the office. Creative students who need serious computing power will also feel right at home. The big advantage: you configure it yourself, and it's built in the Netherlands.
