Netflix High Score

Published on 08 september 2020

Nothing is better than losing yourself in a documentary series and being thrown back to the days of yore. That was recently possible with The Last Dance about Michael Jordan. But The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us are also good examples. In terms of feeling, High Score comes closest to the latter two. And this combined with a wonderful 80s vibe.

Netflix has released a new documentary series with High Score in which the history of the gaming world is highlighted. Pac-Man, Nintendo and the SEGA Genesis are being scrutinized. The series has six parts of approximately 45 minutes each. Almost the entire game revolution will be covered: How it all started in the arcades with Pac-Man and how gaming eventually infiltrated the living rooms. Sonic, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter will also be featured.
